Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Helping Hands Team Ltd as a support worker/care assistant.

Drivers are preferred but we also have vacancies for non-drivers.

We are looking for people who have a kind and caring nature, reliability is a must! Your role will be to support individuals to live as independently as possible; your role will be at an individual’s home address.

We also support individuals to attend The Albion Centre in Worksop where having a drivers licence is not necessary.

Experience in the care industry would be great, but it's definitely not essential as full training will be given to the right candidate.

We support individuals in Retford, Worksop and surrounding villages.

We are looking for a worker who is a compassionate, accountable individual who treats all colleagues and our clients with respect and seeks to deliver excellence in their role. In this role, you will be promoting choice to our clients in their daily life by providing care which meets Care Quality Commissions (CQC) fundamental standards and supports happy living for the years ahead.

Our clients needs range from mental health needs, older adults, learning disabilities and physical disabilities. We do social inclusion with clients which can range from bowling, swimming, horse riding cinema etc. we also do cleaning, shopping, support with money management, appointments, house sitting, personal care or prompts, medication prompts, well being checks, cooking and meal planning, among other things.

Salary starts at £11.45 per hour (for over 21s) with an additional £1 payable per client visit.

Mileage is paid at the rate of 35p per mile between clients.

Permanent position with contracts varying from 16 to 30 hrs, to suit the needs of the business and also that of the workers.

Bus fares and train fares paid for by the company for travelling to another area. 

Interviews will be held in our New Ollerton office in Nottinghamshire.
